A Little Bit About Me
Sharon Kaluba
Licensed Holistic & Massage Therapist including beauty treatments
My name is Sharon and I'm a fully qualified cosmetologist. What does that mean? Well, I studied hair and beauty therapy. Upon leaving secondary education, around 30 years ago, I went straight into the salon environment as a Saturday shampoo girl. This was my first experience of the Art of Massage and the effects it has on others. There, I embarked on a vocational quest to make others feel good. Alongside this I worked within the care sector. Later I found myself assessing and teaching nail technology. This lead on to beauty therapy and so forth.
I levitate more over to the holistic and complementary treatments. Massage treatments are one of my passions due to the holistic affect they have on my clients. I qualified in massage therapy in 2007, and furthered my studies and qualified as a general Nurse BSc (Hons), where I practiced for a while in Palliative nursing, end of life care.
Suddenly, I was diagnosed with breast cancer and life as I knew it came to an abrupt stop. My complete foundation was shaken as I underwent a Mastectomy, Chemotherapy, and Radiotherapy followed by more operations due to damage caused by the radiotherapy. It has been a bumpy ride to say the least.
I am here to tell the tale, if I could make it though the last storm in my life, then you too can make it through whatever you're facing. I have returned to my first love and that is holistic therapies. I shall use this website to advertise my services from massage, Reiki, tuning fork therapy, holistic therapies and lastly beauty treatments. This massage eases you into a meditative state, allowing you to relax. Through applied pressure using knuckles, forearms, and elbows, tension and knots are released. The intensity of the massage is tailored to suit the client's preference (i.e. medium, light). By far our most well loved massaged.

I met Sharon in early 2008; as I had set the date for my wedding but was worried about my alopecia (hair loss). Everyone wants to look at their best as a bride. I think on my way to work I noticed a shop offering advice on lace front wigs or it may have been in a newspaper. I made an appointment and the rest as they say is history. In fact, Sharon did my nails and hair on my wedding day.
Sharon has done my hair monthly since then; this has raised my self-esteem and I leave feeling wonderful. When washing my hair Sharon’s healing hands give, a head massage which soothes away my worries. We always have a good discussion when Sharon does my hair, it’s like a form of therapy.
Since meeting Sharon I have witnessed her journey, through marriage breakdown, study, university, major health issues and becoming more in tune with the alternative therapies. I have been able to experience Reiki, massage and tuning fork therapy. Sharon is a healer; she helped me develop my love and understanding for crystals. My Reiki sessions were new to me but they powerfully helped me with some difficult issues.
